Our Internal Medicine-Pediatric Doctors

Click to learn more about Med/Ped doctors

Creekside Medical’s four doctors are all Pediatricians who have been certified by the American Board of Pediatrics as well as Internists, who have been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. These  four doctors have completed a residency, which is an intensive four year program combining training in Pediatrics AND Internal Medicine.

Med/Peds doctors see the same types of patients as Family Practice physicians. However, Med/Peds doctors receive more intensive training in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, enabling them to provide specialized care for the whole family.

What’s exciting about Med/Peds doctors is that parents can have a board certified Pediatrician for their children and can see the very same board certified Internist for their own health care needs.

Our Nurse Practitioners

Click to learn more about Certified Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs)

Certified Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) are licensed independent healthcare providers. FNPs possess a graduate-level education, as well as clinical training in family medicine. They have met national certification requirements that allow them to diagnose, assess and treat health problems.

FNPs main clinical focus is primary care. Because they are working with a diverse patient population, FNPs are trained to provide a wide range of healthcare services for every member of the family, both autonomously and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. These services include managing a patient’s overall care; prescribing medications and treatments; ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, EKGs and lab work; diagnosing and treating chronic and acute conditions, including injuries, infections, diabetes and high blood pressure; performing invasive procedures; counseling; and educating patients on positive health-promoting lifestyle choices and disease, injury and illness prevention.
